If you don't have access to your preferred authenticator application (like Google or Microsoft Authenticator), you can still securely sign in by using another method available on the login screen.
After entering your password, you will be on the 2-step verification screen. Look for the option that says "Try another method".
Selecting this option will show you the available recovery methods. We recommend trying these methods in order:
Method A: Use your recovery code (Recommended)
This is the fastest way to get back into your account. If you have this code, select the recovery code option.
What is it? Recovery codes are unique, one-time use codes that serve as a backup for Two-Factor authentication. These codes are typically provided during the initial setup of 2FA, but they may also be sent via email in certain cases.
How to use it: Select the Recovery Code option. You'll be prompted to enter the code on the next page. Follow these steps to use your recovery code:
Navigate to the two-factor authentication screen during login.
Click on the "Try Another Method" option.
Select "Recovery code" from the available options.
Locate the recovery code you received or saved. Ensure you copy the entire code.
Paste the recovery code into the designated recovery code field (not the regular 6-digit two-factor code field).
Submit the code to complete the login process. Best practice: Recovery codes are one-time use. After using your recovery code to sign in, we highly recommend re-pairing your Suralink account to your preferred authenticator application and saving the new recovery code securely.
Updating Your Recovery Code
After successfully logging in with a recovery code, the system will prompt you to save a new recovery code. It is crucial to save this new code securely, as it will replace the previous one. Going forward, use this newly provided recovery code for account recovery.
Example of Recovery Code:
Method B: Request a One-Time email code (If you don't have your Recovery Code)
If you didn't save your recovery code, you can request a secure code to be sent to your email address. Note that this code expires after 5 minutes.
How to use it: Select the "Email" option
Check your email: A unique 6 digit-code will be sent immediately to the email address associated with your account.
Enter the code: Enter the code on the sign-in screen. Because the code expires quickly, please complete this step as soon as you receive the email.
Example of One-Time email code:
If you chose the email option and aren't receiving the one-time code, this could be an email delivery issue. Use the chat widget on this page to check your email delivery status.
